The 7 Chakras

 

The word 'chakra' is derived from the sanskrit word meaning 'wheel'. Literally translated from the Hindi it means 'Wheel of spinning Energy'. The seven chakras are the centers in our bodies in which energy flows through. Blocked energy in our seven chakras can often lead to illness, so it's important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. The 7 chakras positioned throughout your body, from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. Each chakra has its own vibrational frequency, that is depicted through a specific chakra color, and governs specific functions.

The Colours Of Crystals

 

 

 

Red and orange stones are warming and stimulating. The colour of fire, they may be used wherever a body system is sluggish or the need for warmth is felt. Red stones can boost our circulation and stimulate our digestive system. They are said to encourage fertility and connect us with our sexual energy. They also inflame our emotions, and if anger or fear is present, they should be balanced with a soothing green stone. Red and orange stones are often used to awaken a depleted Base Chakra. Orange stones are associated to the Sacral/Spleen Chakra

Yellow stones reflect the energy of the sun and can lift anxieties and mild depression in the same way a sunny day can. They are warming and stimulating, but not as "hot" as red crystals. Yellow crystals can be used to stimulate the Solar Plexus Chakra. They can inspire us out of bouts of inactivity and boredom and fill us with purposeful energy. Yellow stones should be balanced with violet or deep blue stones if you are suffering from nervous exhaustion or vauge anxieties.

Blue is the colour of the heavens, it too is cooling and can help reduce high temperatures and draw the heat from burns and infections. it can have a calming and balancing effect on the mind and emotions.
Many stones contain both blue and green and their properties are a blending of the two colours, green crystals can be balanced with red crystals and blue with orange crystals. Blue stones are associated with the Throat Chakra and green stones are associated with the Heart Chakra.
